Brace For Stravius In Sarcelles

World 100m backstroke champion in 2011, Jérémy Stravius, of Amiens, took a brace of victories on day 1 at the first round of the three-meet Golden Lanes circuit in Sarcelles. 

First up, he won the 50m freestyle in 23.00, 0.1sec ahead of Romania's Norbert Trandafir, with Italy's Marco Belotti on 23.49, then returned to the fray to take the 100m butterfly in 54.17, no others inside 56.

The women's freestyle dash went to Anna Santamans, of Nice, in 25.59 ahead of French clubmates Pernille Blume, of Denmark, on 25.75, and Charlotte Bonnet, on 26.32.
Lotte Friis, of Nice and Denmark, clocked 8:32.90 to keep Coralie Balmy, Mulhouse, at bay in the 800m freestyle, no others inside 9mins, while Anthony Pannier, of Sarcelles, took the 1500m free in 15:30.24, a stroke ahead of Nice's Damien Joly, on 15:31.12.

Other winners included Fanny Babou, on 1:11.44 in the 100m breaststroke, William Debourges, on 1:04.18 to 1:04.70 for Antibes teammate Quentin Coton in the 100m breaststroke, Melanie Henique, of Amiens, on 1:01.10 in the 100m 'fly ahead of Bonnet's 1:02.94.

The meet features the 2013 long-course debuts of Olympic champions from Nice Yannick Agnel and Camille Muffat tomorrow over 200m freestyle.
