Swimmer Jenny Thompson has been named as a finalist in the individual catergory by the Women's Sports Foundation.

The finalist will be presented at the Foundation's 21st Annual Salute to Women in Sports Awards Dinner on October 16 at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City.
