Yana Klochkova and the majority of the swimmers from Monaco, made the journey west to Barclona for the three day XXI Trofeu International Meet. The seventeen year old from the Unkraine continued her winning ways with a swim of 8min 37.76sec. But much to the of her coach, this was 0.15sec outside the meet record for which she would have collected a bonus.
Sarah Poewe the fast improving South African pushed Agnes Kovacs all the way in the 50m breaststroke. But the Hungarian teenager used her experience to touch home in 31.82sec just 3/100th ahead. This was 0.48 outside the European mark she established in Monaco on Sunday.
