South American Open Championships - Day 4

The final day of swimming at the South American Swimming Championships saw several more meet records fall. Mens Highlights:

    Julio Santos ECU set a meet record in the prelims of the mens 50m freestyle with a time of 22.83
  • Pablo Abal ARG set a meet record in the prelims of the mens 100m backstroke with a time of 56.81. It was later set in the finals by Rogerio Romero BRA with a time of 55.77
  • Alejandro Bermudez BRA set a meet record in the prelims of the 200m IM with a time of 2:07.65 and then reset the record in the finals with a time of 2:06.58
  • Brazillian Mens 4x100m free relay team set a meet record with their time of 3:21.67
Womens Highlights:
  • Erin Volcan VEN set a meet record in the finals of the womens 200m backstroke with a time of 2:19.72
  • Eileen Coparropa PAN set a meet record in the prelims of the womens 50m butterfly with a time of 28.97 and then reset it in the finals with a time of 28.68
  • Maria Garrone ARG set a meet record in the finals of the womens 200m IM with a time of 2:20.59
  • Brazillian Womens 4x100m medley relay team set a meet record with their time of 4:17.56
