South American Record at Spanish Open Championships

Georgina Bardach of Argentina set a South American Record in the 400 IM this weekend while competing in the Spanish Open Championships in Zaragoza, Spain.

Her time of 4.48.74 bettered the previous record of 4.50.41 held by Carolyn Aidel (SUR).

Also in the meet Jose Meolans of Argentina broke National records in the 100 and 200 freestyle with a times of 49.57 in the 100 semi final and 1.49.71 in the 200 final.

Teammate Pablo Abal also establish new national standard in 50 Butterfly with a time of 24.44.
