Cougar Swimming Sweeps Oregon State

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Washington State University women'ss swim team put the finishing touches on the winningest dual-meet season in the team's 25-year history with a 113-92 win over Oregon State University Saturday. The Cougars's nine wins this season surpasses the old record of eight, which had been achieved three times, most recently in 1996-97.

The Cougars completed a two-day sweep of the Beavers Saturday, after a 138-124 victory Friday night at Stevens Natatorium.

WSU won seven-of-11 events Saturday, including both relays, making the Cougars victorious in all four relay events in the series.

Cougar freshman Andree-Anne LeRoy (Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada) broke the Stevens Natatorium record with her time of 2 minutes, 6.89 seconds in the 200 individual medley. LeRoy had a total of seven wins in the two meets, four in individual events and three with relay teams.
