Brooklyn, N.Y. - The men's swimming team (2-4) picked up their first two dual meet victories this season as the Seawolves defeated Iona, 58-54, and St. Francis, 59-41, on Tuesday night at St. Francis College. The women went 1-1 on the evening, beating Iona, 61-50, but falling to St. Francis by a score of 71-40.

Alex Guzman was the catalyst for Stony Brook, anchoring both the 400 medley relay and 400 free relay teams to victory. Also swimming on the 400 medley relay were Yohann Littee, Igor Voloshin and Devin Bougie. The 400 free relay team consisted of Albert Koyfman, Bougie, Vasiliy Rodin and Guzman.

Voloshin notched a first-place finish in the 100 breaststroke, while Damien McCreath's second-place finish in the one-meter diving competition also led to the Seawolves' win.

The women's split gives them an overall record of 3-4 this season.
