Scozzoli Puts Smile On Italy's Face

Istanbul, World Short-Course Championships, Day 2 finals: 

Men's 100m breaststroke

Italy, with no medals at London 2012, celebrated world s/c gold tonight as Fabio Scozzoli, leading on 26.66 at half-way, kept the pack at bay for a 57.10 win, 0.03sec inside his best ever in textile set in Dubai for silver two years ago. The silver went to Damir Dugonjic (SLO) in 57.32, the bronze to kevin Cordes (USA) in 57.83.
