Lafayette Rolls Past St. Peter's

EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette men's swimming and diving team opened up its dual team schedule on Tuesday at Ruef Natatorium as the Leopards rolled past St. Peter's 141-93.

Coming up big for Lafayette was the 400-meter freestyle relay team of Erika Hoke (Pottsville, Pa./Nativity BVM), Jessical Howell O'Neill (Brooklyn, N.Y./Midwood), Leah Gruenke (Wescosville, Pa./Emmaus) and Carrie Abilgaard (North Haven, Conn./North Haven) who beat out St. Peter's with a time of 3:51.18. Gruenke also made waves in the 100 freestyle event, recording a mark of 56.40, just .33 of a second better than her freshman teammate Liz Tutschek (Mountain Lakes, N.J./Mountain Lakes).

Freshman diver Alana Anzalone (Shavertown, Pa./Wyoming Seminary) continued to make her mark on the scoreboard, sweeping the one- and three-meter diving events.

Lafayette's next meet is scheduled for Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Drexel.
